Product description

This small Japanese Deba knife is handmade in the Sakai region, which is known for its long history of traditional knifemaking. Its compact size makes it ideal for filleting smaller fish and delicate work in the home kitchen. It is a practical working knife, especially suitable for beginners who want to get acquainted with traditional Japanese knives and carbon steels.

The wide and robust blade is made of white carbon steel (Shirogami / White Steel) , which is valued for its very high sharpness, clean cut and easy sharpening. Even with regular use, it retains excellent cutting properties. The single-sided sharpening is designed for right-handed people and allows for precise cutting when processing fish and smaller meat.

The magnolia wood handle is light, comfortable to hold and traditionally used in Japanese work knives. The plastic transition ring protects the connection between the blade and handle from moisture and increases the overall life of the knife.
