Product description
This professional chef's knife from Sakai Takumi Ajimasa represents the pinnacle of Japanese craftsmanship. Its blade is made of 67-layer Damascus steel with a core of AUS10 stainless steel , which offers a great balance between sharpness, toughness and corrosion resistance.
The handle is made of rare yew (Ichii) wood - harder, more durable and darker than the commonly used magnolia or poplar. The shape of the handle is a modified hexagon with a rounding , which fits perfectly in the hand and provides a comfortable grip even during long use.
