Product description

This elegant and functional Japanese Santoku knife was handmade in the Sakai region, which is renowned for its long tradition of kitchen knife making. The blade is made of 67 layers of Damascus steel , with a core of AUS10 stainless steel, which is valued for its hardness, durability and excellent sharpness. This combination creates not only a functionally excellent, but also a visually attractive knife with a unique pattern on the blade.

The handle is made of Yew (Ichii) wood – a material that is harder, more durable and darker than the commonly used Magnolia or Poplar. Its hexagonal shape with a semi-circular bottom end fits perfectly in the hand and ensures a comfortable and secure grip for everyday use.
