Product description

This all-steel Higonokami knife was popular as an everyday tool from the Meiji to Showa periods. It is made by the renowned Nagao Koma Seisakusho company, which was founded in the 1880s and has specialized in Japanese knife making ever since. This model is foldable and has a pear lacquer finish, which provides a better grip even when the knife is dirty or the user is wearing gloves.

Due to its versatility, this knife is popular for wood carving , pencil sharpening , and as an everyday tool. It is also currently used to teach proper knife use and hand sharpening, allowing the user to observe how the knife adapts to their hand.
