This smaller Japanese Deba kitchen knife is handmade in the Sakai region, which has long been considered the center of traditional Japanese cutlery. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the knife is especially suitable for novice users of Japanese knives and for home kitchens, where it is used primarily for processing smaller fish, fine slicing and filleting. However, it will also find its place in preparing smaller meat ingredients.

The blade is made of Japanese SK carbon steel , which is known for its very good cutting ability, easy sharpening and stable behavior in normal use. SK steel is a practical choice for those who want to try traditional Japanese steel without high demands on sharpening experience. The single-sided sharpening is designed for right-handed people and allows for the precise, controlled cut typical of Deba knives.

The more robust blade geometry provides the stability needed when working with herringbone, while the shorter length promotes good control during detailed work. The knife is well-balanced and, thanks to its lower weight, works well even during prolonged use.

The handle is made of magnolia wood , which is light, pleasant to the hand and traditionally used in Japanese work knives. The plastic mouth protects the joint between the blade and the handle from moisture and increases the overall life of the knife.
