Product Description
This Japanese Petty kitchen knife is a compact and precise tool designed for detailed work in the kitchen. Originating from the traditional Tosa region, it is manufactured under the Tosa Tsuboya Hamono brand, known for its authentic craftsmanship.
The blade is made of modern stainless cobalt steel, which offers high hardness, very good edge retention, and corrosion resistance. This combination makes the knife suitable for daily use without demanding maintenance.
The blade's surface features both decorative and functional Damascus layering combined with a tsuchime (hammered finish) treatment. This structure not only enhances the knife's visual character but also improves food release when cutting.
The Petty shape is ideal for smaller, precise tasks such as cleaning, cutting smaller ingredients, or in-hand work. Due to its maneuverability, it is suitable as a complement to larger kitchen knives.
